Afenifere Elects Ex-SGF Olu Falae as New Chairman

Oba Olu Falae, the Olu of ilu-Abo in the Akure North council area of Ondo State and a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), has been named chairman of the National Executive Committee of the Pan Yoruba sociopolitical organization Afenifere.
The organization also emphasized the need for national restructuring and voiced concerns over insecurity, among other problems plaguing the nation, after its monthly meeting at the home of its national leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, in Akure.
After the meeting, National Publicity Secretary Jare Ajayi told the media that Falae was appointed by Fasoranti, the group’s national leader.

The goal of this appointment, Ajayi reiterated, is to realign the organization.
He stated that the purpose of Oba Falae’s appointment is to revitalize the organization in order to guarantee that the House of Oduduwa is reoriented to support the Yoruba agenda.

“Oba Falae, the new chairman, has held several significant positions, including Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).” Several issues facing the country today were discussed at the discussion.

Ajayi stated, “Therefore, we are urging the National Assembly and the Federal Government, led by President Bola Tinubu, to immediately put the machinery in place to restructure the nation.”

In his remarks, Falae thanked Fasoranti for his appointment and pledged to bring all the groups in Afenifere together.

“With God’s grace and the help of Afenifere and the Yoruba people, we’ll be able to unite all the other groups.

In Papa’s lifetime, he stated, “I plan to do everything in my power to unite all Afenifere factions.”

The group’s National Organising Secretary, Apagun Kole Omololu, also spoke and promised that Falae, the recently chosen chairman, will bring the group back together.
