Former presidential contenders Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, according to Abdulhakeem Adegoke Alawuje, a prominent member of President Bola Tinubu’s support group, lack the power to sway the North against his principal.
Alawuje claimed in a statement that every action taken by individuals opposed to Tinubu is closely watched.
“Take caution,” he cautioned. No political or ethnic plot can be carried out without our operatives’ knowledge. There will be no more deceiving the North.
Alawuje recalled Tinubu’s crucial role in the 2015 elections and stated that history would never forget how the then-APC National Leader “stood firmly with the North when it mattered most.”
“At that pivotal point, Tinubu traveled the area, winning over millions of people who had previously opposed Buhari to his cause. That altruistic deed has not been forgotten by the North.
“A region of loyalty and honor,” he said, emphasizing that the North would “reward Tinubu with its votes again in 2027.”
The Tinubu supporter claimed that Peter Obi was “hiding behind religious sentiments” and that Atiku was concealing a “Northern agenda.”
“Both are engaging in really hypocritical politics. The North will not be turned against its reliable ally from the Southwest by propaganda, he said.
Alawuje praised President Tinubu’s “bold and transformative reforms,” citing recent statements made by His Royal Highness Muhammad Sanusi II, the Emir of Kano, who stated that “Nigeria has pulled back from the brink of economic collapse.”
“Tinubu is doing incredibly well, changing Nigeria’s development and economic environment. He continued, “Nigerians just need patience.”
Alawuje praised the President’s fortitude in the face of criticism and claimed that Tinubu’s administration has silenced critics.
“Economists on social media have instilled dread, but Tinubu has disproved them. He is an economic reformer, a brave and imaginative leader, and a real advocate for human progress, he declared.
