Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, has shown up at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja for the hearing on the N110 billion fraud case that has been filed against him.
Following his acceptance of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) invitation on Tuesday, this occurred.
A fraud complaint for 110 billion dollars was filed against the former governor by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The EFCC personnel were with the former governor, who was wearing a blue headgear and a white kaftan.
Justice Maryanne Anenih of the FCT High Court will hear his arraignment.
In a new 16-count allegation against them, the EFCC has charged the former governor, Umar Oricha, and Abdulsalami Hudu as first and third defendants, respectively.

But the panel has granted administrative bail to the other accused, Oricha and Hudu.

In its new case against Bello, the EFCC requested an adjournment to Wednesday, November 27 at the most recent hearing on November 14. The EFCC claimed that the 30-day deadline for the previously issued summons was still open.
Nonetheless, the EFCC asked the court to grant an extension for the first defendant’s appearance and accepted his co-defendants, Abdulsalami Hudu and Umar Oricha, to administrative bail.
