The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, has dismissed allegations by opposition parties that the Anambra by-election of August 16 was marred by sabotage and voter intimidation.
The National Chairman of the party, Sly Ezokenwa, said this on Wednesday while responding to questions in an interview on Arise Television.
According to him, the exercise was one of the most credible elections conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
The APGA National Chairman said that the opposition African Democratic Congress, ADC, and the All Progressives Congress, APC, were only crying foul, stressing that they do not have the structures and were roundly defeated at the polls.
Weighing in on the allegations that Governor Chukwuma Soludo and APGA deployed security personnel to intimidate voters, he said that a day or two before the election, a senior police officer had announced that only conventional security agencies of the country were allowed to function at the election.
