The way that President Bola Tinubu has treated Vice President Kashim Shettima has been questioned by Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, a leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He questioned why a well-known politician was used as a government agent just to attend funerals and weddings.
The former national publicity secretary of the now-defunct New Peoples Democratic Party (nPDP) bemoaned in a statement that the state of affairs was not just desolate but also intolerable.

He cautioned against sacrificing the high-ranking position of vice president for political reasons.
Eze claims, “As much as I do not support Vice President Kashim Shettima, I must say as a concerned Nigerian that I am not happy with the way and manner such a highly profiled politician is being treated by this administration and turning such a highly respected politician into an agent of government solely for attending wedding and burial ceremonies.” It is regrettable, depressing, and intolerable.
“He may lack the guts to express his annoyance, but the fact is that in the two years he has served as this nation’s vice president and the number of times President Tinubu has left the country, Mr. President has not felt it is appropriate or necessary to transfer power to the vice president.
“This act violates both the letter and the spirit of this nation’s Constitution in addition to being unacceptable.”
