In an effort to improve documentation and fortify the party’s internal structure, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has started its e-membership registration drive throughout the Federal Capital Territory and the 36 states that make up the federation.
Nentawe Yilwatda, the party’s National Chairman, made the announcement on Wednesday through a tweet on his verified 𝕏 (previously Twitter) account.
Yilwatda claims that the registration and certification process will be carried out at the ward level across the country to guarantee party members’ grassroots involvement.
He clarified that the effort applies to both current and potential ruling party members.
The APC chairman declared, “New and prospective members are warmly encouraged to register and become part of the progressive family, while all existing members are expected to validate their membership online.”
According to Yilwatda, the exercise was essential for maintaining accurate records, bolstering the party, and ensuring that members participated fully in APC operations.
He continued by saying that the party’s internal democracy and decision-making will be improved by a reliable and current membership record.
He declared, “The exercise is essential for proper documentation, party strengthening, and full participation in APC activities and decision-making.”
The APC chairman reiterated the significance of the program and characterized the e-membership push as a step toward creating a more cohesive and resilient party.
