The South-South Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has encouraged Asue Ighodalo not to appeal the decision that upheld Governor Monday Okpebholo’s victory.
APC South-South Zonal Organising Secretary Blessing Agbomhere reportedly told me that any appeal of the tribunal’s decision on Wednesday would be a waste of money.
Agbomhere stated in an interview with Arise News on Thursday that the PDP and its candidate must establish their case in any appeal, even the Supreme Court, because they were unable to do so at the tribunal, which served as the court of evidence.
As you can see, the win of the APC in Edo State and that of Senator Monday Okpebholo, the state’s executive governor, has many people in Edo State and throughout the nation in a state of joy and celebration. Without holding back, we would like to tell Godwin Obaseki and Asue Ighodalo that since this is the court of instance, they need not bother appealing this decision. Additionally, the court of evidence is the court of instance. They all know, once more, that they were unable to present proof to back up their claims in this particular court.
Accordingly, I believe that they are wasting their time and money by proceeding to the Appeal and the Supreme Court. And they can truly use these resources to improve the lives of the Edo people if they have an abundance of them at their disposal. Therefore, there’s no reason to appeal this. The events that have transpired have occurred. They should, in my opinion, move on. And they don’t need to show their desperate attempts to take over Edo State’s administration any more because the Edo people won’t let it happen,” he stated.
Okpebholo is a divine gift to the Edo people.
According to the APC South-South Zone Secretary, Governor Okpebholo was already providing Edo State’s citizens with good government.
He said that Okpebholo’s appointment as governor of the state was a blessing for the people of Edo.
Senator Monday Okpebholo has already begun running the state as we speak. He is doing so well for the Edo people that, as of right now, they are really grateful that God appointed Senator Monday Okpebholo to be their governor.
So far, he has shown himself to be a man who respects the rule of law. He is a man who supports sound governance. And with his current position of leadership in the state, he is accomplishing that. You can witness what is happening in the education sector if you visit Edo State today. In fact, Bola Tinubu, the president of the Nigerian federal government, had to commend the initial efforts made to improve Edo State’s educational system,” he said.
Asue SA, PA, or Okpebholo can In order for Ighodalo to serve the state, Councillor Agbomhere informed him that the Governor was amenable to having him in his administration.
Okpebholo may appoint the former PDP candidate for governor as a personal assistant or special adviser on the economy, he continued. He also recommended that he be appointed a councilor so that he may work for the government.

He went on, “So, in my opinion, Asue shouldn’t spend his time. Instead, the governor—with whom I have had multiple interactions—is willing to invite Asue to share his knowledge with the people of Edo State if he feels that doing so would benefit the state’s citizens and if he genuinely wishes to do so.
Furthermore, I think that in your capacity as the state’s governor, you should not participate. Service is available to anyone who wants to serve, regardless of the position. The governor of Edo State can use Asue as his economic advisor. He can act as a PA. He can perform a variety of tasks. He is capable of being a senator as well. He has the ability to be a councilor. If he truly wants to help the Edo people, that is. He must not be the governor, then.
Following their actions, the court of instance has now weighed the merits of their case and rendered a decision in favor of the APC and the governor of Edo. The best way to demonstrate his patriotism and his genuine desire to serve Edo, in my opinion, is to work with his brother, the state’s current governor, to develop the state for the benefit of all Edo residents.
