The National Youth Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has charged Governor Dauda Lawal with “wasting public resources on political vendettas,” claiming that his administration has not addressed Zamfara State’s infrastructural degradation and insecurity.
The APC National Youth Wing said that Governor Lawal’s government “has been defined by failure” in a statement released on Sunday and signed by Comrade Danjuma Nuhu, its National Youth Leader.
His careless expenditures on pointless political endeavors were unable to conceal his incapacity. Nuhu stated, “Zamfara deserves better.”
According to information obtained, the accusation came after Hon. Muhammad Lawal Kuryar Madaro, a former candidate for the Kaura Namoda South State House of Assembly from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), announced his decision to defect to the APC in Gusau on Saturday during the stakeholders’ consultation meeting for Zamfara Central.
Kurya’s defection followed his loss in the August supplemental election, in which Kamilu Sa’idu of the APC was proclaimed the victor of the Kaura Namoda South constituency seat by the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC.
The APC Youth Wing also urged other PDP members who were “disillusioned with Governor Lawal’s administration” to switch to the APC and back the party’s development and stability program.
