Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president of Nigeria, responded to Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike’s remark regarding the PDP’s 2027 presidential candidature.
Recall that Wike had previously declared that Atiku would not be allowed to run for president of the PDP in 2027.

“He is advocating for another opportunity, but it will not present itself,” the Minister had stated. Whose party is it? For so long, how can we depend on just one man?

According to Wike, the former vice president has no chance of winning in 2027. He made this announcement at a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday.

According to the FCT Minister, Atiku is attempting to run for the party again but will not be given the opportunity.

Using Phrank Shaibu, his Special Assistant on Public Communication, Atiku quickly responded by reminding Wike of how he “schooled him and his protégé” during the 2019 referendum.

Wike would have taken the party’s presidential ticket for himself if he had the power to do so, according to Atiku.

“He would have definitely kept one for himself if he had the authority to give out presidential tickets like party favors. After all, Atiku gave him and his selected protégé a thorough education in his backyard prior to the 2019 election, and he then decisively lost the 2023 Abuja primaries.

Even though he publicly declared that Tinubu would win in 2027, he is now fixated on choosing the PDP’s nominee.

“Isn’t that too early in the day? We should concentrate on the actual problems, which are Nigerians’ deteriorating living conditions.

Shaibu stated, “This hunger is getting intolerable; we should be addressing it instead of 2027 political ploys.”
