On Thursday, gunmen suspected of being bandits stormed three villages in the Kaduna community, killing 20 people and kidnapping 25 women.
Alhaji Ibrahim Mustapha, a resident in the area, said on Friday that the bandits invaded the community around 2 p.m., shooting sporadically before whisking away their victims.
According to him, the bandits, who numbered more than 19, stormed the communities in a commando-style shooting, causing villagers to become tense.
He stated that several houses had been burned.
DSP Mohammed Jalige, the Kaduna State Public Relations Officer, did not return his calls seeking confirmation of the incident.
