Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, the Acting Governor of Bayelsa State, has urged the Nigerian Content Development Monitoring Board (NCDMB) to involve grassroots stakeholders by embracing a range of viewpoints in order to make sure that their plans were inclusive and represented the goals of all Nigerians.
When he opened the 13th edition of the Practical Nigerian Content Forum, which was hosted at the Local Content Towers in the state capital of Yenagoa, Ewhrudjakpo made this statement. The Acting Governor, who spoke on the topic of “Deepening The Next Frontier For Nigerian Content Implementation,” asked the Forum’s attendees to go beyond discussion to action in order to make sure that the conference’s conclusions lead to significant and lasting change.
The subject was forward-looking, according to Ewhrudjakpo, who encouraged attendees to actively participate with an emphasis on turning concepts into workable plans that would have long-lasting effects.
As to his statement, “a dynamic ecosystem that fosters innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development will be established by utilizing technology and enabling local talent.”
The NCDMB was praised by the Acting Governor for their dedication to promoting Nigerian content and for setting an example of excellence and innovation.
He gave his word that Bayelsa would continue to work with the NCDMB and other reliable partners in a number of industries, including energy, agriculture, healthcare, and tourism, in line with the state’s ASSURED Prosperity Agenda.
Building robust and sustainable structures that allow communities to actively engage in developing industries, especially the digital economy, should be our main priority. This will guarantee prosperity for everybody and a future in which no one is left behind. We can change the face of Nigerian content implementation if we work together. By encouraging creativity, diversity, and strategic alliances, we can open up new avenues for expansion and sustainable development.
The commissioning of the new library at Niger Delta University in Amassoma, in collaboration with Shell Petroleum Development Company and other joint partners, was one of the milestones accomplished in the past seven years, according to NCDMB Executive Secretary Engr. Felix Ogbe, who gave the keynote address.

The commissioning of 150 LPG in Kaduna state, the opening of a gas leak monitoring facility in Abuja, and the KwaleGas Gathering and Injection facility in Delta State are a few more accomplishments noted.
Regarding the development of personnel, Engr. Ogbe stated that the NCDMB Academy has begun educating young people about various facets of the oil and gas sector. The board was also dedicated to setting up more appropriate zonal offices in the states of Akwa Ibom, Rivers, and Delta.
