Benibo Anabraba, the secretary to the Rivers State Government, has formally left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In a letter dated January 5, 2026, Anabraba informed the PDP chairman of Ward 1 in Rivers State’s Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of his choice.
In the letter, he expressed gratitude for the platform, support, and political possibilities the party provided him throughout his tenure as a member while stating that his resignation was due to personal reasons.
In the letter, he did not reveal his future political move.
Reliable reports, however, indicate that the former PDP leader would soon join the ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC.
