Well-known Nigerian socialite and crossdresser Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, also known as Bobrisky, has disclosed that he was recently the victim of an online romance fraud.
The media star said he lost $990 to a scammer via posting on his Instagram profile.
He said he never thought he would be the victim of such a plot and was shocked and disappointed by the event.

The con artist had been corresponding with him for months, he said, and claimed to have lived in the United States before moving to Canada.

He clarified that during the course of their conversation, the con artist called regularly and pretended to be genuinely interested in his life.

“I never imagined that I would be a client to anybody in my life,” the transvestite stated. It’s been almost a few months since this guy DM’d me and we started chatting. I get a call from him nearly every day. He claimed to have moved to Canada from the United States.

Bobrisky claimed that when a U.S. client contacted him regarding an advertisement and requested to use CashApp to make a deposit, the scam took a different turn. Then he requested assistance from the alleged lover to get the money.

Someone in the USA contacted us for advertisements a few weeks later. I questioned this man who was speaking to me after she mentioned that she required a CashApp to pay her deposit. “I’ll give you mine,” he said. “He blocked me right away after receiving the money,” he continued.

The social media star went one step further and posted screenshots of their conversations along with a picture of the purported con artist on his page, cautioning followers against falling for similar scams.
