Former National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Director General Brigadier General Maharazu Tsiga (retd.) has reportedly been abducted by armed bandits.
According to reports, early on Thursday morning, Tsiga was kidnapped during an attack in Tsiga village, Bakori Local Government Area, Katsina State.
In addition, the attackers stole valuables from multiple homes, killed one person, and kidnapped at least nine others.
According to eyewitness accounts, the bandits broke into the neighborhood at 12:30 in the morning and opened fire randomly to terrorize the locals and crush any resistance, according to report.
The Katsina State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, responded via SMS that he “can’t talk now,” so attempts to get confirmation of the incident from him were unsuccessful.

Security forces are anticipated to begin an investigation and potentially conduct a rescue effort for the people who have been kidnapped.
