Andrew Nice Ominikoron, a driver, has been sentenced to death by hanging at a Lagos State High Court hearing in Tafawa Balewa Square.
A Lagos Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) driver named Ominikoron was given a death sentence for the murder of fashion designer Bamise Ayanwola, age 22.
On Friday, trial judge Sherifat Sonaike rendered the decision.
It was alleged that Ominikoron and other individuals currently at large plotted, raped, and murdered Bamise.

When Bamise boarded a BRT bus in February 2022, she never reached her destination.
She was later discovered by the side of the road, naked, by security personnel.
In the end, the BRT driver she got on was taken into custody and accused of murder.
Although the driver, Ominikoron, entered a not guilty plea, he was found guilty and given the death penalty.
