Following accusations of money laundering and investment fraud, businesswoman Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu has been formally designated sought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The anti-graft office reportedly proclaimed Ms. Achimugu wanted on Friday. She was named as an associate of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Dele Oyewale, the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, issued a statement urging anyone with pertinent information regarding her whereabouts to get in touch with the Commission.
“The EFCC is seeking Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu, whose photo is shown above, in connection with a suspected criminal conspiracy and money laundering case,” the statement said.
In the past, stories about Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu have included Ms. Achimugu.
Do you remember that on January 24, the governor left his official responsibilities in Lagos to travel to Grenada, a Caribbean island, to celebrate Ms. Achimugu’s 50th birthday?

Premium Times claims Sanwo-Olu used a private jet and stayed at one of the most exclusive resorts in the world. Several government officials were not sure where he was during his absence; some said he was abroad, while others suggested he was in London on an official trip.
