A building at 118 Broad Street, CMS, in Lagos has reportedly caught fire.
Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said that the organisation responded to the incident after it was reported to LASEMA on Tuesday morning by calling its toll-free 112 emergency number.
“Upon arriving at the scene of the incident, it was found that a warehouse room where shoes are stored had been completely destroyed by fire.
“A power surge that occurred after the electricity was restored caused the fire to start.

“Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident. Responders at the scene of the incident working together to put out the fire include members of the agency’s response team, LRU Fire, Lagos State Fire Service, and Federal Fire Service. Operation continues, it said in the statement.
