Mudashiru Obasa filed a case against the Assembly over the speakership contest, and 35 Lagos lawmakers have come to the Ikeja High Court to hear it.
While he was abroad in the United States, Obasa filed the lawsuit to contest the lawmakers’ removal of him.
To succeed Obasa as Speaker, the lawmakers chose Hon. Mojisola Meranda.

However, Obasa was present at the Assembly yesterday, stating that he had returned as Speaker.
Hon. Justice Y.R. Pinheiro is administering the case.
