Oluwole Oke, who presided over the House of Representatives’ Committee on Public Accounts, has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
A letter to the PDP Chairman in Wurd 7, Ookun Local Government Area, Osun State, confirmed the lawmaker’s resignation. He represents the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency.
On Wednesday, Oke, a lawmaker with six terms, declared his intention to leave the PDP.
“With immediate effect, I would like to formally notify you that I am leaving the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP,” the politician stated.

He went on to say that friends, family, and political associates were consulted and engaged before the decision was made.
In the letter, he also stated, “I sincerely hope you will accept my resignation.
Oke also made copies of the Peoples Democratic Party’s National, State, and Local Government Chairmen.
