There will be a new location for the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting.
Security personnel prevented members of the PDP’s Board of Technology from convening a planned meeting on Monday, causing increased tension at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, according to Naija News.
The PDP’s Wadata Plaza offices in Wuse Zone 5 was supposed to host the meeting in the NEC Hall, but a strong security presence interrupted it.
Those already inside were reportedly evicted by uniformed officers who also blocked off the property.

Daily Trust reports that a senior officer was heard giving his men strong orders, telling them not to gather in the building of any kind.
The opposition party said that the meeting, which was originally planned to take place at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja at 10 am, has been rescheduled to the Yar’Adua Centre in the Central Business District of Abuja in a succinct message posted on its official 𝕏 handle.
According to the announcement, “Excellent News! The meeting location for the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) has changed. Originally planned to take place at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja around 10 a.m., the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) Meeting, @OfficialPDPNig, has been rescheduled to the Yar’Adua Centre in the Central Business District of Abuja.
“BOT members are advised to proceed to the new location as of this notice.”
