On Monday, several young people marched through Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, to protest the arrest and detention of Martins Vincent Otse, commonly known as Verydarkman (VDM), a famous human rights campaigner and social media figure.
Armed with numerous placards, the teenagers requested that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) free VeryDarkMan immediately.
According to reports, the demonstrators were observed in the Wuse region, immediately after the Berger bridge, and they condemned VDM’s arrest and imprisonment as illegal.

They also promised to take their protest to Nigeria’s Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in the capital’s Maitama neighborhood.
