The Civil Defense, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has taken issue with recent internet articles that purport to offer a hiring schedule for the four organizations it oversees.
CDCFIB emphasized that these publications are not approved and should be ignored in a formal statement signed by Maj Gen AM Jibril (Rtd), the Board’s Secretary.
The Board also issued a warning to the public about falling for scammers and bogus recruitment syndicates.

The Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps will all formally announce any recruitment process through at least two national newspapers and their official websites, the statement reaffirmed.
CDCFIB warned that any recruitment information not sourced from these official channels should be ignored, emphasizing that individuals engaging with unofficial sources do so at their own risk.
The statement read: “The attention of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), has been drawn to some online publications informing the general public of a purported timeline for recruitment into the four services under its purview.
“The Board wishes to inform the general public that the purported online publications did not emanate from the Board and, as such, should be disregarded.
“Also, the Board wishes to warn the members of the public to be wary of the activities of fake recruitment syndicates and racketeers.
The Board would like to restate that at least two national dailies and their official website will properly advertise the recruitment process for the Nigeria Correctional Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Fire Service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defense.
Additionally, any information on hiring these agencies that does not come from the official website or national newspapers should be ignored. Anyone who interacts with unofficial media does so at their own peril.
