The building of Saint Stephen’s Road beside Emmanuel Church intersection, a key thoroughfare for business in Onitsha, was officially inaugurated by Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo on Monday as part of Anambra State’s ongoing infrastructure development.
As part of the function, Soludo said that his administration has prioritized greater Onitsha since taking office, beginning with Okpoko infrastructure improvements, Ochanja garbage removal, and Onitsha environmental restoration, among other things. He said that the flag-off marks the start of what his government will accomplish in the city.
While claiming that the contractor promised to finish the road in three months, he also discussed the necessity for the residents of Onitsha North One constituency to vote for Barrister, the All Progressives Grand Alliance Candidate. For this Saturday’s bye-election, Mimi Azikiwe is the greatest candidate because she has connection to the administration.
Similar to how Mr. Tony Nworah, the mayor of the Onitsha North local council, expressed hope that more development would come to the city through Soludo, Mr. Patrick Aghamba, the commissioner of youth development, described Onitsha as a peculiar place with only one monarch and thanked the governor for his contributions to the city, which include the water revolution, road infrastructure, free education, and other things.
