The 2027 election would be decided by Nigerians, according to the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP).
Despite allegedly faulty results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Peter Obi, the previous Labour Party presidential candidate, received more votes in the 2023 election, according to allegations from Chief Peter Ameh, the CUPP’s national secretary.
Chief Ameh denounced the philosophy of Nigerian politicians, which is motivated by selfish interests, in a statement released on Friday.
“In fewer than six months of campaigning, Peter Obi, speaking on behalf of the Labour Party, accomplished tremendous success, even though the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced incorrect results.
Over 50% of the votes in seven states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and over 25% in sixteen states were won by Obi without the support of governors or the aid of electoral manipulation apparatus. His control over important cities like the FCT, Rivers, and Lagos demonstrated the strength of a coalition of people who are all motivated by the same goal of change, he said.

According to the previous National Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), the most recent election in 2023 shown the ability of the people to bring about political change.
This alliance of common Nigerians, including professionals, laborers, traders, and youth, showed that the people’s will could overthrow the established political elite. The elections of 2023 revealed the weaknesses of inept and heartless politicians who are incapable of governing for the benefit of the people and whose sole goal is to seize public office.
“To stay in power, these politicians, who are frequently protected by the so-called “federal might,” have turned to defection and manipulation. Governors and other elected leaders routinely switch parties, undermining the confidence of their voters while disguising themselves as part of a political strategy.
The public’s trust in governance has been damaged by this lack of accountability and discipline, he continued, but the people are more committed than ever to ending this cycle of poor performance and opportunism.
