Darey Art Alade, a well-known Nigerian singer, and his wife, Deola, have thanked God for saving their lives in a car fire disaster on Lagos State’s Third Mainland Bridge.
According to reports, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, Deola announced this on her Instagram page.
According to Deola, who shared footage from the site, the incident happened at approximately 4 p.m. on Friday when their car caught fire and was totally destroyed by flames.
With the words, “Moments like this remind us how quickly things can change and how unimportant material things become in the face of life itself,” Deola emphasized the value of life over material belongings.
She added that they wanted to inspire others experiencing unexpected loss by sharing their story.
“At approximately 4 p.m. yesterday, our vehicle caught fire on the Third Mainland Bridge and burned to the ground,” she stated.

Although it was a startling and agonizing experience, we are immensely thankful that the driver survived. The important thing is that no lives were lost.
We’re not sharing this to show compassion, but to remind someone that things can be replaced,” Deola stated. Life cannot. We’re deciding to continue to give thanks to God for our safety, perspective, and the silent fortitude to persevere.
We want you to know that we can rebuild if you’re dealing with an unexpected loss of any kind. We have the ability to start over and find the willpower to continue. Step by step, one breath, one prayer. In everything, we express gratitude. To everyone who paused to assist, thank you.
