Afrobeats artist David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, recently said that he frequently receives warm receptions throughout his foreign tours, including invitations to eat dinner with the presidents of several of the nations he visits.
In an interview with Kiss Fresh London, Davido said that being famous has given him the opportunity to interact with important people, like the president of the World Bank and the heads of powerful countries.
He conveyed his sincere appreciation for the respect he receives from his global fan base, particularly in Africa.
“The president invites us to supper in every country we visit, with the exception of the United States and London, United Kingdom.
“It’s stunning to observe. “I mean, it shows how well Nigeria is doing globally in terms of music and cultural impacts that people are welcoming me like the president in other countries when I leave my country, Nigeria,” he remarked.

Additionally, he revealed that during their recent collaboration, his Jamaican counterpart, YG Marley, was astounded by the overwhelming affection and support from his followers.
Davido, meanwhile, has revealed his new song, Awuke, which features YG Marley.
Following the release of his fourth studio album, Timeless, in March 2023, this is his first solo release.
Although Davido has been involved in the music industry through a number of collaborations, including the well-known remixes of “Twe Twe” with Kizz Daniel and “Ogechi” with Boypee, Hyce, and Brown Joel, his most recent solo release has left fans feeling quite let down.
In a significant shift from his typical Afrobeats style, the singer’s most recent foray into the Amapiano genre involves a duet with YG Marley, the grandson of reggae icon Bob Marley.
