Prof. Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, a former president of OPEC and APPO, former executive vice chairman of Exxonmobil Africa, former group managing director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), and former minister of petroleum, has been nominated to the board of Delborough Lagos.
Prof. Kachikwu, a native of Delta State, is a first-class law graduate from both the Nigerian Law School and the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), where he won many prizes and was named best graduate. He also holds a master’s and doctoral degree in law with honors from Harvard Law School in the United States.
Prof. Kachikwu has a plethora of experience. He was the general counsel of Texaco Upstream and Downstream in Nigeria, the former president of OPEC and APPO, the former executive vice chairman of Exxonmobil Africa, the former group managing director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), and he currently serves as a visiting professor at ten international universities, including Harvard, and consults with several African governments.
During the recent annual board meeting at The Delborough Lagos, the Board Chairman, His Royal Majesty Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe CFR, mni the Obi of Onitsha, officially opened the Harvard-trained think tank.
Renowned Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Barr. Kelechi Nwaiwu was also appointed and sworn in as Board Secretary.
