As the National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Samuel Anyanwu has stated that he continues to serve in the party’s office in Wadatta, Abuja.
During a Thursday video conference with Lere Olayinka, Special Media Advisor to Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, Anyanwu said he was collaborating with his team and keeping an eye on anyone who could try to jump the fence.
The PDP’s National Working Committee was instructed by the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT), which is headed by Senator Adolphus Wabara, to swear in Sunday Ude-Okoye as the party’s National Secretary in accordance with an Enugu Appeal Court decision.

On Wednesday, Ude-Okoye was sworn in as the party’s National Secretary by the NWC, despite Senator Anywanwu rejecting the BoT’s order.
The NWC overwhelmingly recognizes, acknowledges, and confirms Rt. Hon. S.K.E. Udeh Okoye as the substantive National Secretary of the PDP in full compliance and obedience to the Court of Appeal’s judgment after giving careful consideration to the memo and its attachments. It also acknowledges that there isn’t a single judgment or order from a higher authority or hierarchy that supersedes this one.
The PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, signed the statement, which stated, “The NWC has begun the transmission of its Resolution/Decision affirming Rt. Hon. S.K.E. Udeh Okoye as the PDP National Secretary to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other relevant bodies for recognition in line with the judgment of the Court of Appeal.”
But the video call between Olayinka and Anyanwu on Thursday, which Olayinka shared on his X Twitter, revealed that Aynanwu is still in the office.
