Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, a federal legislator, has criticized his National Assembly colleagues for how they have handled the country’s security issue.
During a plenary speech on Wednesday, Abaribe asserted that his colleagues frequently focus on the past rather than the present.
He claimed that members of the ruling party consistently find ways to compare the insecurity of 2025 to that of 2015, when the PDP had control.
He contended that since the two insecurity scenarios differ, this is not required.
Abaribe further criticized President Bola Tinubu for not using his position as “Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces” to look into the Kebbi state governor’s allegations that a higher authority had ordered troops to leave Maga village prior to the bandits kidnapping the 25 schoolgirls.
