Due to unpaid fees, IKEDC reportedly turned off the energy supply to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) installation in Lagos. The action cut off electricity to the base.
The Air Force agreed to pay IKEDC N60 million a month in exchange for 10 to 12 hours of electrical supply per day, according to sources. But even after payments were made, the base reportedly still experienced regular blackouts.
According to reports, a female military officer oversaw the operation, and despite police intervention, the personnel refused to depart.
