The Department of State Services, or DSS, has arrested Abubakar Malami, the former Attorney-General of the Federation.
The former minister was taken by DSS operatives soon after he was released from Kuje Prison after fulfilling his bail requirements.
It was known that the secret police were conducting a new investigation on the former attorney general.
It was reported that during a search, members of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) found weapons at his country house in Kebbi.
Recently, the former AGF claimed that the DSS had planned to re-arrest him from Kuje Prison.
Malami, his wife, and his kid were granted bail of ₦500 million apiece with two sureties by a Federal High Court on Wednesday.
However, the former minister claimed that the DSS was monitoring the detention facility in an attempt to re-arrest him in a statement released by his Special Assistant on Media, Mohammed Bello Doka.
The former minister was reportedly hauled up by the secret police despite having fulfilled his bail requirements.
