Dumebi Kachikwu, the former African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, has stated that he is unable to collaborate with prominent opposition members in the recently announced alliance, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Governors Rotimi Amaechi, and Nasir El-Rufai.
According to reports, Kachikwu stated this while answering questions on Thursday’s episode of Arise Television’s Morning Show.
Nigeria needs new faces and new ideas, the ADC chieftain said, expressing his opposition to the opposition figures.

Kachukwu went on to say that he would be opposing the party’s takeover by what he called “old politicians.”

“We need new ideas,” he remarked. We require new principles. No one can sit there who set our house on fire. The fire will be extinguished by the fire department.

“I oppose them. I can’t collaborate with these individuals.

“Definitely, yeah. I’m going to take them to court.

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, has been given a 48-hour ultimatum by the Julius Abure-led group to leave the party after he aligned himself with a newly formed opposition coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Obi was one of the leading political leaders who convened on Wednesday to choose the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the coalition party to overthrow President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, according to prior reports.

Obiora Ifoh, the national publicity secretary for the Abure-led faction, cautioned in a statement signed and released in Abuja on Thursday that Obi’s backing of the coalition is in direct opposition to the faction’s stance, which has distanced itself from the alliance and labeled its members “frustrated politicians” and “power mongers.”
