The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly released Emeka Okonkwo, also known as E-Money, a Lagos socialite and music mogul.
E-Money was reportedly arrested by the EFCC on charges of vandalizing foreign currency and misusing the Naira note.
On Monday night, E-Money was arrested at his home in the Omole neighborhood of Lagos, according to commission sources.
The socialite was arrested after it was reported that she had participated in the unlawful act of spraying US dollars, which is against the Foreign Exchange Act.
E-Money has been liberated, according to a Tuesday night Instagram post by celebrity bartender Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana ChiefPriest.
Nigerian musician Kingsley Okonkwo, better known by his stage name Kcee, has said that he became financially successful before his younger brother, Emeka Okonkwo, better known by his stage name E-Money.

Previously his manager, the artist claims that his millionaire businessman now has more money than him.
When Kcee recently appeared on the Tea With Tay podcast, she revealed this. He said he was one of the people that paid for E-Money’s wedding.
“I would have been richer if I had applied the same level of dedication to business as I did to music,” he thought.
