According to Nigerian rapper Eedris Turayo Abdulkareem Ajenifuja, better known by his stage name Eedris Abdulkareem, a politician approached him and offered to sponsor his song with ₦200 million.
The politician reportedly told Eedris that his track “Tell Your Papa” upset President Bola Tinubu and his son Seyi.
In a video that he shared on social media, Eedris said the politician informed him that Tinubu’s administration intended to contact him and compensate him to cease criticizing the government.

He claims that because he thought the politician was trying to get him, he turned down the ₦200 million offer.
