Mercy Chinwo, a well-known Nigerian gospel singer, is managed by Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu (Thankgod), whose arrest warrant has been formally revoked by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
In response to an ex parte application filed by the EFCC, Justice Alexander Owoeye issued a bench warrant for the music producer last week, as was previously mentioned.
Nonetheless, the commission requested the revocation of the order on Friday through its lawyer, Bilikisu Buhari.
An arrest order for ThankGod has previously been issued by the Federal High Court in Lagos, as you may remember.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed an application, and on Thursday, Justice Alexander Owoeye granted the order.
Section 35(1)(c) of the 1999 Constitution and Sections 35 to 39 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015 were the grounds on which EFCC counsel, Bilikisu Buhari, made the motion during the court session.
In order to get Onyedikachukwu to appear in court on allegations of alleged financial impropriety, she contended that the arrest warrant was required.
The court was also told by Buhari that if the manager was not captured, a public summons would be issued to declare him wanted.

Judge Owoeye granted the application and scheduled Onyedikachukwu’s arraignment for January 24.
It was known that Mercy Chinwo’s plea to the EFCC was the reason behind the lawsuit.
The gospel singer claimed in an affidavit submitted by EFCC investigator Michael Idoko that her manager had improperly disclosed earnings from her gigs and digital platforms.
In addition, Chinwo claimed that Onyedikachukwu had embezzled $345,000 on her behalf, which motivated her to pursue legal action.
