El-Rufai: Tinubu Only Gives Appointment To People He Knows Or Someone From His Tribe

President Bola Tinubu exclusively appoints members of his tribe or people he knows, according to Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
He thinks that Nigeria has been regressing since Tinubu came to power.
El-Rufai charged Tinubu’s administration of ineptitude, nepotism, and a breach of the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) core principles.

When interviewed in Katsina by Deutsche Welle Hausa, he expressed his reluctance. According to him, Nigeria is in a worse state now than it was during earlier regimes in terms of governance, the economy, and insecurity.

Since Tinubu took office as president of Nigeria, the nation has started to regress. The economy is shrinking, wealthy people are now impoverished, ethnic profiling is growing, and insecurity has escalated.

His appointment must be with a member of his tribe or someone he knows.

“They may reject that, but Nigerians are not naive. Your name cannot be this, and they will deny it, claiming that you are from Katsina,” he stated.

The largest opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), does not accept the coalition, alliance, and merger plan led by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, according to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, who has explained why it was rejected.

In a Tuesday interview with Channels Television, Governor Makinde clarified that the party’s governing bodies should be properly consulted before making such important political agreements.

We didn’t simply wake up and declare, “I’m xyz in the party,” and then drag the group into any arrangements when the party organizers had no idea what they were doing, Makinde remarked.

They don’t even know what this coalition is. They are also clueless as to whether this is personal or if you are acting in the party’s and Nigerians’ best interests. They are essential.

He made these remarks in reaction to Atiku’s March 20 announcement at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, where he, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, and Peter Obi (represented by Tanko Yunusa) announced the formation of a coalition to run against the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections.

The PDP Governors’ Forum distanced itself from the coalition, and Makinde restated that stance.
