E-mobility is expected to play a significant part in Africa’s economic development, according to Prince Mustafa Audu, CEO of Electric Motor Vehicle Company (EMVC).

He told reporters at the current COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, that government initiatives to reduce carbon emissions are already having an impact.

The Tinubu administration is interested in the green economy, according to Audu, who urged global investors to visit Nigeria.

Knowing that the electrification of the transportation sector is the way of the future is crucial.

Therefore, in order to ensure that e-mobility is a permanent fixture, we are assisting in guiding and collaborating with certain government aspects.

“As the biggest producers and manufacturers of electric vehicles in Nigeria, we are here at COP 29 in Baku to highlight the progress we are making in decarbonizing the transportation sector in Nigeria and Africa.”

We have so far assisted in developing policies that would encourage Nigeria to embrace e-mobility.Just this year, we have sold well over 10,000 cars, and the number is still rising.

“In Giri, Abuja, we constructed the biggest manufacturing facility in Nigeria. We have also assisted with many people’s training. In collaboration with Federal Polytechnic, we are the first company to establish a polytechnic program that offers a course specifically designed to teach individuals in E mobility.

“The process of charting the whole EV ecosystem for Africa is about to begin. We will surpass all other e-mobility companies in Africa in size. I also want you to know that you were the first to hear it here.

“We have great potential. Africa’s growth potential is enormous.

Additionally, three crucial areas are impacted by our batteries and cars.

the transportation industry, the electricity industry, and rural electrification.
