Aliyu Audu, a former Public Affairs staffer to President Bola Tinubu, has stated that he served the president for two years without having direct contact with him.
Despite serving as Tinubu’s spokesperson for nearly two years, he said that he had never met the politician.
According to reports, Audu stepped down as the SSA for Public Affairs.
He bemoaned the fact that his former boss voluntarily met with Lagos politician Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran and Nigerian singer David Adeleke, also known as Davido, but denied him access.
The former presidential assistant pledged to oppose Tinubu’s reelection in an interview on Thursday night’s episode of Arise Television’s Prime Time.

“I spent almost two years working for the President,” he claimed. I never had a conversation with him. Although he sat with Davido, who had humiliated him a few weeks prior, I am one of his spokespersons.
He sat with that Jandor after that, who didn’t even finish second in the poll in Lagos. That isn’t logical.
Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle and the governor of Osun State, had paid Tinubu a visit in Lagos a few days prior to Audu’s resignation.
As you may remember, Jandor met with the President in March after resigning from the PDP. Jandor was a candidate for Lagos governor in the 2023 election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
