Eze Chika Nwokedi and his cabinet chiefs seized the opportunity of the Eid Mubarak season to pay homage to the palace of HRM Oba Nureni Alani Akinremi to further strengthen the bonds between the tribes, show support, give gifts as well as discuss other issues facing the people of Ijegun Ijeododo and how to resolve them.

In synergy with Oba Nureni to forestall peace and cooperation amongst the people of Ijegun community which comprises of all tribes, Eze Chika Nwokedi in his capacity had been able to promote peace and unity amongst the Igbos in cooperation with the Yoruba descent of the Ijegun community.
One of such is seen in the recent crisis which brewed in Ijegun Ijeododo community during the last general elections where many Igbo shops were ear marked by the state government for demolition but was misconstrued by the Igbos whose shops were affected. The Igbos saw this action melted out as a disaffection towards them and as a result started a row with the King and his men, but Eze Chika Nwokedi rose up to the crisis to calm the brewing issues which could have caused mayhem in the community.
In response to the tête-à-tête discussions during the courtesy visit, Oba Nureni Alani Akinfemiloye noted that he has no issue with Eze Chika Nwokedi against all the rumours by people. In acknowledgement of the friendship shared Oba Nureni Alani said he will continue to work hand in hand with Eze Okpoko as a long time friend and will always relate issues of concerns with him, adviced the entourage not to listen to any form of gossip or rumour mongering to disrupt the togetherness they have shared. Oba Nureni Alani thanked the entourage for their visit while he tells all to embrace peace and togetherness.

Eze Chika applauded the acknowledgement given by Oba Nureni, promises that the Igbos will always stand by him as a man of truth,wisdom and father to all that he is, promises to be cooperative and transparent for the betterment of the community.
Chief Ifeanyi Ihionu in representation of the entourage also thanked Oba Nureni for kindly receiving the guest and accepting the gifts given, expresses gratitude.
