Femi Fani-Kayode, the former minister of aviation, has claimed that the recent spate of murders in Plateau State and other Northern Nigerian states is the result of foreign forces from the West, Israel, and other countries.
According to reports, Fani-Kayode stated in a video posted on social media that the foreign criminals are entering Nigeria through porous borders with the intention of splitting the country along ethnic and religious lines.
He claimed that outsiders were planning the violence to cause instability in Nigeria, emphasizing that the situation is comparable to the run-up to the general elections in 2015, when former President Goodluck Jonathan had to deal with a similar wave of insurgency.
Fani-Kayode urged the federal and state governments to act more forcefully, advocating for the Plateau State administration to take the initiative and secure all borders to prevent foreign infiltration.
In addition, the former minister expressed his deepest sympathies to the victims of the tragedy.
