Ayodele Fayose, a PDP leader, has boasted that Biodun Oyebanji, the governor of Ekiti State, will surpass and break his vote total.
By winning in all 177 state wards, Oyebanji will beat his 16-0 record, according to a statement Fayose released on Thursday.
He pointed out that when Oyebanji submitted his candidacy form in Abuja on Wednesday, he demonstrated political strength.
For those who are still holding into the dream that there won’t be a vacancy in the Ekiti Government House till 2030, the former governor said it should be evident that a number of influential political figures joined Oyebanji when he submitted his party’s nomination form in Abuja on Wednesday.
By winning all 177 wards, the governor will surpass his own record of 16 to 0, he declared.
Fayose emphasized that he was still in favor of Oyebanji and President Bola Tinubu, and he owed no one an apology for his actions. He also reaffirmed that he was not a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
