According to Nollywood actor Femi Branch, his colleague Desmond Elliot’s good work in his constituency is unrecognized because of his low profile and position in the political system.
Elliot, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has reportedly been the target of social media criticism on numerous occasions for his political remarks and deeds.
When Elliot gave perfumes to his voters during the Surulere I by-election in February, it caused a stir on social media.
The actress was also criticized in 2020 for advocating social media regulation, even though she had earlier denied any role in the movement.
During an interview with Nollywood on Radio, Branch praised Demond Elliot’s political performance and insisted that he should be honored for his work.

According to Femi, Elliot’s political bosses likely overshadow his efforts and good actions because they frequently receive credit for his work.
I want to give Desmond Elliot a lot of credit because he has been a constant political performer, he added.
“I believe that Desmond’s issue throughout the years has likely been bad public relations because I am aware of many of his actions in the constituency.
It is also possible that his situation is one of being subordinate to a political boss. Therefore, they don’t give you credit for your efforts. Instead, they present it to the boss. In my opinion, Desmond is performing excellently.
