Four people killed, six injured in Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

Four people were killed and six others were injured in an accident involving a Mazda bus and a truck on the Iperu bridge in Ogere on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
On Tuesday, Ahmed Umar, Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun State, confirmed this to reporters in Abeokuta.
“The accident happened this morning around 6:25 a.m., involving a Mazda bus with registration numbers YYY 412 XB and an unregistered truck,” he said
“Due to a minor flaw in the truck, the Mazda bus driver, who was driving at high speeds, crashed into the moving truck from behind.” The truck’s rear lights, which were supposed to signal vehicles approaching from behind, were not working. Among the dead was a male child. The injured were taken to the Victory Hospital in Ogere for treatment, while the deceased were deposited at the FOS Morgue in Ipara.”

The sector commander advised motorists to check that everything in their vehicle is in working order before embarking on any trip, and he also warned them about speeding.
He expressed his condolences to the victims’ families and advised them to contact the FRSC Ogere for more information about the crash.
