The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has been dismissed as having no political significance by prominent New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) stakeholder Engr. Buba Galadima. He claims that the former Kano State governor owes his current position exclusively to President Bola Tinubu.
In response to rumors that Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the NNPP’s 2023 presidential contender, was about to rejoin the APC, Galadima made the comments.
He accused Ganduje of utilizing Kwankwaso’s name and the NNPP to stay in the news spotlight in an interview with the Guardian.
“I hear you say this. So, Ganduje will report this to Nigerians if we go to the APC? Galadima told The Guardian, “Nobody wants to go to APC even because of him.”
“Only Tinubu has the authority to appoint a Ganduje chairman of a party,” he added, further criticizing the APC national chairman. How is it possible for Ganduje to chair anything?
By disseminating lies about the NNPP and its members, Galadima said the APC leadership was bewildered and fighting to remain relevant.
Due to their confusion, they are the ones who are keeping us in the news. “Everything in the country is in disarray,” he stated.
These are the same folks who disparage us in NNPP on social media and through propaganda. If they are not asserting that Kwankwaso is employed by President Tinubu, they will spread rumors that he is traveling to France in order to lobby the president.

He categorically denied that Kwankwaso or the NNPP were discussing or planning to rejoin the APC, stating, “There is nothing like that.” Actually, I am able to tell you.
Galadima also criticized the APC’s fixation on the 2027 elections, saying that politicians only turn to politicking halfway through their terms if they have failed their constituents.
He claimed that only political failures discuss the next election in the middle of their tenure, and he insisted that the NNPP stays committed to providing responsive and accountable governance.
Following what he described as the collapse of the NNPP following the 2023 elections, Ganduje said at the APC national secretariat in Abuja that Kwankwaso was anticipated to rejoin the ruling party. His words followed his earlier remarks.
