Give EFCC Express Autonomy to Operate And Investigate Fraudulent Lawmakers—Comrade Iche to President Tinubu
By Naomisophyblog
A message to President Tinubu, delivered by Comrade Prince Saviour Iche, a rights activist, appraises the president for his astute approach to issues arising from national crises. Iche, in his message, also commended the leadership capacity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the articulate rule of a multi-tribe country, Nigeria, after inheriting the many overwhelming problems and being incapacitated in offering solutions. Says the president has more to do with nation-building by giving the EFCC autonomy to approach issues of fraudulent activities perpetrated by lawmakers.
Stating facts, Iche said the president had inherited debts and other economic issues accumulated by his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari. Netizens believed in Buhari due to his past rulership as military head of state but were disappointed as he flooded the government with his northern brothers six months into his reign. The appointments allocated to these various lawmakers further crippled the economy as expertise was greatly displaced and abused. There were also countless fraudulent transactions involving top officials.
Iche said:
“Buhari’s relaxed nature brought chaos to the country not because he was a bad leader, but rather because he employed incompetent and corruptly unrefined appointees to assume important roles in his cabinet, which led to massive looting with impunity. An example of a fraudulent act committed is the purchase of an aircraft supposedly bought by the minister of aviation but tagged as a national airline, ‘Nigerian Air’, a total scam on Nigerians, and Buhari commissioned it feigning unawareness. The said minister who committed the fraud is free from charges.”
“Tinubu’s administration is beginning to take the same form as the previous one; the only difference acknowledged is that President Tinubu is smarter; things might have been a little better if Tinubu were in Buhari’s position. Buhari kept ministers for 8 years, while Tinubu would change them if they were not competent enough.”
“Nigerians are dissatisfied with the outcome of the last election in allegations that the mandate was stolen, yet it is an undeniable fact that Tinubu is smarter and is able to fish out underperformance and misappropriations like the recent worrisome case of money laundering by Betta Edu, Minister of Interior, and her cohorts. He sacks ministers involved in such acts, while the Buhari administration would have left them in power to commit more atrocities.”
In precision, Iche gave a concluding message to President Tinubu, says for the country to take him seriously, he should allow EFCC autonomy to operate without FG intrusion, and whoever in government is found wanting should be sanctioned and prosecuted as the law demands. Former CBN governor Godwin Emefiele’s return of N4 trillion to Nigeria, which he laundered during Buhari’s era, shows the level of corruption that exists in the government. Appeals to President Tinubu to take cognizance of corrupt practices and extinct appointees found wanting, even if it takes him to dissolve the cabinet and make a reappointment.

As the voice of the voiceless, Comrade Iche also made an added appeal, says President Tinubu should recognise and compensate those who supported the course of his ambition as president during the last elections.
