After a devastating petrol tanker explosion in Majia town, Jigawa State, claimed 95 lives and left over 50 injured, Governor Umar Namadi visited the site on Wednesday, offering condolences and prayers for the victims.

“We pray that Almighty Allah grants their souls eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus,” Namadi said.

The governor pledged full state government support for medical treatment and aftermath assistance.

Jigawa State Police Command confirmed the tragedy, stating that locals scooping fuel from the overturned tanker led to the explosion.
