All political appointees are required to disclose their assets, according to Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
At a meeting with heads of government agencies and special advisers at Government House in Kano for Iftar (the breaking of the fast during Ramadan), this command was reportedly given.
The governor pointed out that between 60 and 70 percent of the appointments have yet to follow the rules outlined in the Code of Conduct.
He advised them to quickly get, complete, and submit the necessary paperwork to make sure they were in accordance with the law.
The special advisers were also reminded by Yusuf of the importance of reporting on governance issues and offering advice.

He urged them to give their opinions, whether positive or negative, and to actively participate in keeping an eye on government operations.
Additionally, Yusuf declared that the Heads of Government Agencies have been assigned 13 Hajj seats.
The Kano State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (KCHIMA) Executive Secretary, Dr. Rahila Mukhtar, responded by thanking the governor for his support on behalf of the appointments.
The appointees were reminded by Malam Umar Ibrahim, Secretary to the State Government, of their pledge to carry out their responsibilities fairly.
Ibrahim asked them to continue being committed to Yusuf’s vision and goals, which center on improving the inhabitants’ quality of life and bringing about transformation.
