The conduct of the 2023 and 2024 promotion exercises for qualified civil and public workers in the state has been approved by Prince Dapo Abiodun, the governor of Ogun State.
Only oral interviews will be used as the assessment method, and it is anticipated that 26,764 civil/public officials from junior, senior, and managerial cadres throughout Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) of the state government will gain from the exercises.
Teaching and non-teaching staff of government secondary schools, primary school teachers, and employees of state-owned boards, corporations, and agencies, including the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), are all covered by the authorized promotion exercises, which include upgrading and transfers, according to a statement released by the State’s Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya.
Onasanya claims that the Governor has also given his approval for the December 2024 edition of the combined confirmation/promotion tests and mandatory public service examinations for officers in the senior and junior cadres. These exams are typically administered by the Office of the Head of Service’s Bureau of Establishments and Training in order to advance the careers of qualified officers.

As part of its “Building Our Future Together” agenda, he said the state government is still committed to putting the welfare of its workers first. He noted that the governor’s approval of the promotion exercises is just another example of his dedication to enhancing the well-being, morale, and career advancement of its hordes of employees.
In addition to expressing gratitude to Governor Abiodun for his many admirable and worker-friendly measures that have greatly improved workers’ well-being and career advancement, the Head of Service urged workers to fully return to their duties.
