Days after he was kidnapped in Abuja, Atu “Krayzeetee” Terver, Benue State Governor Hyacinth Alia’s Special Assistant on Youth and Media Mobilization, was discovered alive.
On social media, Terver’s wife shared the news.
With the words, “Praise to God who is Worthy of all Honour and Glory,” she posted a picture of Terver lying battered and weak.
He may have been subjected to torture while in captivity, as the picture indicates.
Terver was taken earlier this week for reasons that are still unclear.
Soon after the incident, his wife claims he managed a brief distress call, stating just, “I have been abducted, call mummy,” before communication broke down.
At the time of writing, neither the security services nor the Benue State government had released a formal statement outlining his return to freedom or confirming whether any suspects had been taken into custody.

To bolster his administration, Governor Hyacinth Alia has requested and been granted permission by the Benue State House of Assembly to name ten more Special Advisers.
In response to the governor’s letter requesting the lawmakers’ approval, the approval was given on Thursday during plenary.
Lawmakers clarified that the decision will enhance service delivery throughout the state and assist the administration in coordinating its development strategy.
They pointed out that in order to give the governor knowledgeable advice on urgent governance concerns, the advisory team had to be expanded.
The new approval has allowed Governor Alia to expand his team even more, only days after he announced a new set of important appointments to statutory boards and critical agencies.
In the upcoming days, the governor is anticipated to reveal the names of the new Special Advisers, according to reports.
