NASTOGRN, the Nigerian National Association of Surface Tank Oil and Gas Retailers, has requested that the Federal Government declare war on illicit transactions occurring in the oil industry.
During a sensitization session held in collaboration with the National Orientation Agency, Anambra State Directorate, Nze Ibeneme Frank, president of NASTOGRN, made the call.
He claimed that until shady tactics like smuggling, bunkering, and adulteration are eradicated from the system, the nation’s oil and gas industry will start to improve.
Nze Frank, however, urged all tiers of government to shield his constituents from needless threats and harassment by security forces, while simultaneously urging FG to set up surface tank production and calibration facilities throughout the nation.
He noted that NASTOGRN is training its thronging members on safe and healthy environments to guarantee complete safety procedures at oil and gas facilities, and that the organization is holding a sensitization seminar for the oil and gas industries in the 36 states of the federation nationwide.

According to Nze Frank, stores would have easy access to PMS, DPK, AGO, LPG, and grease as a result of the construction of tank farms and small distribution facilities for the storage of petroleum products nationwide.
In order to increase the supply of petroleum products, generate employment, and enhance the nation’s socioeconomic growth, he disclosed that NASTOGRN was founded in accordance with federal government objectives to expand the oil and gas industry’s downstream sector.
Mr. Edozie Ajaegbu, the Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) for Anambra State, said in his remarks that the sensitization session was enlightening.
In addition to exposing the participants to the intricacies of the oil and gas industry, Mr. Ajaegbu said the program was a knowledge base and urged everyone involved—especially the Agency’s Community Orientation and Mobilization Officers—to spread the program’s messages at the local level.
